Taking Risks + A Spring Opportunity!

Sarah | MAR 10

How about that time change, huh?!

As the weather begins to warm and the days stretch a little longer, we’ll continue leaning into our March theme of unwinding with slow, intentional movement designed to release tension, create space, and gently reset.

🧘‍♀️ Class This Week

Thursday, March 12 at 5:30 PM
📍 Fewell Park Recreation Center

If your body has been craving movement or your mind has been feeling full, consider this your gentle reminder to pause and take an hour for yourself.

🌿 Spring Yoga Package

Because so many of you have shared how helpful it feels to have something consistent each week, I’ve created a simple Spring Yoga Package for March–May only for my newsletter readers! (That's you!)

The intention is ease, no week-to-week planning, just a steady weekly reset to look forward to.

The package includes:

• 10 Thursday classes (March–May)
• A reserved spot each week
• Saturday makeup options if you miss
• Early access to on-demand classes coming this summer (!!!)

💫 $95 for the full season

If you’ve been thinking about committing to a regular practice, this is a really supportive way to do it. Registration for the Spring Yoga Package will be open for one week and will close on March 16.

(If you have already registered for class on 3/12 and would like to take advantage of this package instead, email me directly by replying to this email, and I will set you up!)

🌿 This Week’s Yogi Inspiration

Lately, I’ve been reminded once again what risk-taking can do for us.

Really dedicating ourselves to something new and a little scary can feel intimidating. The older I get, the more I realize how easily I begin to settle into my routines, and how important it is for me to keep remembering that I want to be a lifelong learner.

In January, I committed to strength training at least twice a week, and it has honestly been such an eye-opening experience. At first, I didn’t want to go when other people were in the gym. I didn’t really know what weightlifting looked like, and I definitely didn’t realize how much a couple hours a week could shift my outlook on my body — and my life.

While the scale hasn’t moved, my clothes fit better, and I have more energy. I originally started with the simple goal of building strength to support my back and keep everything feeling stable. It’s done that and so much more.

Now I actually look forward to going to the gym. I feel stronger every day, and I’ve noticed a shift in how I return to my yoga practice too and not just for stretch relief, but as a real check-in with my body. Building strength has supported my yoga in ways I didn’t expect. Many people think yoga is just stretching, but our slow sessions require real endurance within our own bodies... which I would argue can feel even more challenging than lifting external weight.

I know I wouldn’t have entered these spaces without the encouragement of my husband and my best friend. They helped me start, celebrated the small wins, and made me want to keep going.

I’m always surprised when I discover something new that feels so simple — just like when I first found yoga years ago, which eventually led me to teaching. It makes me wonder what other surprises might still be waiting for me.

So this week, I encourage you to consider something you’ve been wanting to try — something that feels like a small risk (gasp!).

Can you take it?

What support or accountability might you need to make it happen?

📸 Photos of the Week: Behind the Scenes

Recently I did something a little outside my comfort zone... a yoga brand photo shoot with my girl Katie! (Go check out her work, she's a hidden gem!)

I felt vulnerable at first. Being in front of the camera is very different from being in the room teaching, and I kept reminding myself to have fun and stay present.

But by the end, it felt really special. The experience reminded me to celebrate the present moment. These photos I will treasure for life, and remind me of what I am building with you all in sharing my love of yoga and who I am today.

I’ll be sharing more of the images soon, and I’m really excited for you to see them 🤍

Grateful for this little Thursday community!

Hope to see you soon,
Sarah
