Yoga This Thursday + Saturday

Sarah | JAN 18

Wow! We had 4 new friends join us last week! 🎉
Welcome to each of you! I hope in my heart of hearts you found a moment of calm and clarity, and we can’t wait to have you back again!

Also, congrats to our sourdough bread raffle winner! Should we do more raffles guys?!

We are continuing our start to 2026 slow, steady, and intentional. No rushing. No pressure. Just showing up and letting the year unfold one breath at a time.

🌿 This Week’s Yogi Inspiration — Pratyahara

Last week I shared about my Brick app that blocks app on my phone and some of y’all liked it enough to buy it! YAY! 🎉
I don’t know who you are, but I’m so excited for you. So far this January, I’m averaging about 7.5 hours a day “bricked”, with some extra time on Mondays. And yes… I clearly enjoy the weekends a bit too much... some reflection needed there. 😅

Let’s continue disconnecting from the noise that fills us and continue our practice of Pratyahara — turning inward and creating intentional space for ourselves.

📸 Photo of the Week

If you missed it — I’m a full-time middle school art teacher. Art is my first love, teaching is my second, and yoga is my third (my husband fits in there somewhere, hehe).

This week in art class we explored bilateral drawing, drawing with both hands at the same time. Wow, does it activate the brain! What better way to practice pratyahara, distract yourself from your phone and your thoughts than actively using both hands at once?

If you want to try it:

  1. Find some paper

  2. Grab any two drawing materials

  3. Draw

This is about the process, not the product! Trust me, it’s worth a shot if I’m writing about it here. If you try it, let me know, or just reply to this email with questions!

Here is a video of a guided mediation on bilateral drawing you could follow along with too!

Thank you for continuing to show up, support this little independent yoga dream, and bring warmth to our community this Winter!

See you on the mat,
Sarah 🧘‍♀️✨
