📍 Fewell Park Recreation Center

I’d love to see you there!

With summer quickly approaching and schedules beginning to shift, I’m really grateful for these moments we still get to gather together each week before going online!

🌿 This Week’s Yogi Inspiration — Transitions

This past weekend really felt like our first taste of summer here. The heat showed up FAST, and with the school year coming to a close, I can already feel life beginning to shift into a different rhythm.

And honestly? Transitions can be hard.

Even good transitions!

I think one of the biggest challenges with summer is that routines suddenly change. The structure we’re used to throughout the year disappears almost overnight, and if we’re not intentional, it’s really easy to lose the things that actually help us feel grounded.

Sometimes we assume routine will just naturally happen.

And maybe for some people it does.

But for me, I’ve learned that when my schedule changes, I really benefit from sitting down and thinking about what I want my days to look like before I’m fully in the chaos of transition.

What do I want to make space for?
What do I want more of this summer?
What actually helps me feel like myself?

Because if we don’t intentionally create space for the things that support us, life will usually fill that space for us.

Yoga has taught me that transitions deserve just as much attention as the pose itself.

In yoga, the way we move between poses matters. The transition is part of the practice too.

And I think life works the same way.

So as we move into this new season, I’ve been trying to think less about “starting over” and more about creating rhythms that actually support me.

Maybe that’s yoga.
Maybe that’s rest.
Maybe that’s time outside, creativity, movement, or simply slowing down enough to notice your own needs.

This week, I ask you consider...

What do you want your summer rhythm to feel like? And what small things can you begin putting into place now to support that version of yourself?

We escaped to Greenville this past weekend to see my brother Alexander and his girlfriend Abi! There is nothing like getting out of town for some new scenery to help recharge some batteries. Here is to hoping we stay motivated in this heat to keep on searching out adventures in our everyday!

Thank you for being part of this little community.

Hope to see you Thursday! Only two classes left this season!

Warmly,
Sarah
