Student Highlights — A New Community Feature
I’d love to start featuring some of you in the newsletter and on social media, sharing a little bit about your yoga journey, your goals, or what keeps you coming back to the mat.
This community is what makes these classes so special, and I think it would be really meaningful to highlight the people within it.
👉 If this is something you’d be open to, you can fill out this quick form here!
No pressure at all, just an open invitation!
🌿 This Week’s Yogi Inspiration — Staying Curious
Lately I’ve been reorganizing my classroom as we get closer to the end of the school year, and in the process I’ve been rediscovering so many materials I completely forgot I had.
I even found a bowling ball in my storage closet! No clue where it came from!
And then there were things I’ve apparently had for years but never actually explored, like water-soluble oil pastels.
I sat there this week thinking, “Wait… these are SO cool. Why have I never used these before?”
The funny thing is, during Teacher Appreciation Week I won “Most Organized” teacher! And honestly, if you walked into my classroom, you'll get a good laugh at that.
Because yes… technically it’s organized.
But I would call it an organized mess!
And somehow, within all of that, there are still things waiting to be rediscovered.
It made me think a lot about how we move through adulthood.
Somewhere along the way, I think many of us stop exploring. We stop creating just for fun. We stop trying things we may not immediately be good at. We stop staying curious.
Everything starts needing a purpose, a result, or an outcome attached to it.
But yoga has really taught me something different.
As an instructor, there are poses we return to constantly, maybe even every single class. And part of my job is learning how to explore those same shapes in new ways, combinations, transitions, and variations.
The pose may stay the same, but the experience changes.
And I think life is a little like that too.
Sometimes we don’t need an entirely new life, hobby, or path. Sometimes we just need to approach what’s already in front of us with a little more curiosity.
A little more openness.
A little more play.
A willingness to take small risks.
To let ourselves explore again.
So I ask you... Where in my life have I stopped being curious? And what might happen if I approached it with fresh eyes instead?

Proof of my award!
Some hallway inspiration for testing season, but I thought we could all use this reminder.
Thank you for being part of this little community.
Hope to see you on the mat this week!
Warmly,
Sarah
