Low Energy? Let’s Reset This May!
Sarah | APR 28
We’re heading into May! My birthday month 🎉 and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than moving, breathing, and practicing together.

🎥 On-Demand Yoga Update
With filming already underway for my on-demand yoga classes, I’ve been thinking about how fun it would be to also film in different spaces around Rock Hill!
I’m currently on the hunt for calm, quiet, and peaceful spots, whether that’s an outdoor space, a backyard, or a cozy corner you’d be open to sharing.
I’d only need it for about 1–2 hours, and I’m happy to pay, trade yoga, or even sourdough!
👉 If something comes to mind — even if you’re not sure — send me a message!
🌿 This Week’s Yogi Inspiration — Energy & Burnout
I am currently at the end of our school year, and for my teacher friends out there… 31 days!!!
The overstimulation of work and expectations when an end is in sight is almost unfair. When life demands the most energy from us, sometimes it’s when we seem to have the least to give.
And while my teacher heart is already getting excited for next school year (yeah… I know… I’m a nerd), I still have to make it through this hurdle.
There are definitely times in life where I feel like I have so much energy, where showing up feels easy, where I’m excited, where I have more to give and more to share with the people around me.
And then there are other times where it just feels… off.
Where things that normally feel simple take more effort. Where I feel more drained, a little less patient, and just not operating at the same level.
But what I’ve been noticing is that I still expect myself to show up the same way in both seasons.
To give the same amount.
To move at the same pace.
To keep pushing, even when my energy is clearly telling me something different.
And that’s where yoga has really helped me shift my perspective.
Instead of pushing through, the practice asks us to pay attention. To take what we learn on the mat and actually apply it to our daily lives.
To meet ourselves where we are.
Sometimes that looks like:
✨ choosing a slower practice instead of forcing intensity
✨ focusing on breath when everything feels a little overwhelming
✨ resting when your body is asking for it, without feeling guilty
✨ setting small boundaries with your time and energy
It’s not about doing less just to do less.
It’s about doing what actually supports you in the moment you’re in.
So this week, I’ve been asking myself:
👉 What kind of energy am I actually working with right now?
👉 And how can I honor and support that instead of pushing against it?
📸 Photo of the Week
So before Sarah was yoga instructor Sarah, or art teacher Sarah… she was an emo girl. She loved (and still loves!) going to concerts and, in high school, followed around this band called The Maine. (See photo below from 2010.)
Well… they’re still a band! And they came to town this past week, and I got to say hello again!
Did I have the energy for a concert?… no.
But my heart needed it, and I had FUN.
Thank you for being part of this little community.
Hope to see you on the mat this week!
Warmly,
Sarah
