Let’s Celebrate Life Together This May!
Sarah | MAY 5
May! My birthday month! Looking forward to celebrating life with you guys this month!
🌟 New! Student Highlights
I’d love to start featuring some of you in the newsletter and on social media, sharing a little bit about your yoga journey, your goals, or what keeps you coming back to the mat.
This community is what makes these classes so special, and I think it would be really meaningful to highlight the people within it.
👉 If this is something you’d be open to, you can fill out this quick form here!
No pressure at all, just an open invitation!
🎥 On-Demand Update
Thank you so much to those of you who reached out with ideas for filming locations around town, I truly appreciate it!
Filming took a short pause this week as I’ve been a little under the weather, but I’m hoping to get back to it soon and keep things moving forward.
🌿 This Week’s Yogi Inspiration — When Is Enough, Enough?
Why do we push ourselves so hard?
Why is it so easy to show kindness, patience, and understanding to others… but so much harder to offer that same care to ourselves?
This week was a bit of a reality check for me...again.
I’ve been in and out on my voice after catching something last weekend, and the cough has just lingered. Thanks again to y'all in class bearing with my raspy voice! And to give credit where it’s due… my husband was right (as he usually is, lol).
I didn’t rest.
I didn’t give my body the chance to catch up, and in doing that, I ended up dragging things out longer than I needed to.
And it got me thinking, how often do we do this?
Push through when we should pause and keep going when we’re clearly running low.
Ignore what our body is asking for because we feel like we “should” be doing more.
In yoga, we talk a lot about awareness, about listening.
Not just during a pose, but in life.
There’s a difference between showing up with intention… and overworking ourselves to the point of depletion.
Rest isn’t falling behind.
Slowing down isn’t failure.
Sometimes, it’s exactly what allows us to come back stronger, clearer, and more present.
This week, I’ve been asking myself:
What would it look like to offer myself the same care I give so freely to others?
📸 Photo of the Week
I did a little shopping last week and was able to find some warm weather clothes that actually fit my body! I tried my best to ignore the tag and focus on textures, colors, and fit. I am so thankful to have this one and only body that allows me to move through this crazy world of ours.
Thank you for being part of this little community.
Hope to see you on the mat this week!
Warmly,
Sarah
